I have devoted considerable time at the University of North Carolina and nationally to articulating new models for PhD career paths, especially in public history and along the “alt-ac” path.  I have, as a consequence, been interested in becoming a voice for changes in academe and history graduate education that would ease PhDs’ transition into many employment sectors.   The pages in this section of this site relate to that part of my professional work.
